During the winter months it's easy to neglect your twinkle toes... no one's going to see them while you're wearing boots all season right?! Give your friends (or yourself) a pampering gift of soft, beautiful feet along with a pair of fancy slippers! I've partnered with Amopé Pedi Perfect™ to share a fun DIY to turn a basic pair of slippers into fancy footwear you can gift this holiday!
Things You'll Need to Make Tassel Trimmed Slippers
Three Colors of Embroidery Floss

1. Cut a skein of embroidery floss in half and tie each bundle in the middle with a long piece of coordinating thread. Repeat with the remaining colors so that you have two bundles of each color for each slipper.
2. Complete each tassel by combing the threads down so that the tied center is the "top" of the tassel. Tie off the top of each bundle with coordinating thread, wrapping around the head of the tassel several times for a tight knot. Trim the ends of your tassel so each once is the same length
3. Center the tassels on the top of the slippers, mirroring the pattern on each shoe. Thread a needle with coordinating thread and attach each tassel with a few stitches through the top of the slipper. When you're done, tie the ends of the thread with a double knot and trim any extra threads.
Assemble your finished slippers in a spa-themed gift box along with an Amopé Pedi Perfect™ Electric Foot & Nail File and a few festive colors of nail polish! You can find Amopé products at any Target store --just be sure to check your handy Cartwheel app to get 10% off gadgets through the end of the year!
Happy Holidays!
